The 300 spartans who were fighting the Persians were not the only ones there... there were also 700 Thespians, and 500 Thebians but the story is still somewhat valid, they did not win but they did cause enough of a delay for the following armies to eradicate the Persians (who are also Iranians which is why they are all up in arms over this movie) reply
